The music of Sonic The Hedgehog (1991) was the soundtrack to my
muted indoor childhood. A special array of bloops and bleeps from the Yamaha YM2612 seared into my brain stem so thoroughly that decades later, I felt convinced I could remember and recompose most of it from memory. So that's exactly what I tried to do.

This soundtrack was all composed live in installments of weekly livestreams during which viewers were invited to donate to encourage the addition of noncanon compositional elements ranging from samples, to instruments to genres. These additions plugged the gaps where my memory failed me and transform the soundtrack of a hedgehog momentum conservation simulator into a dreamscape of half remembered nostalgia.
